Summer Recap #2

I'm back today recapping the rest of our fun summer adventures. Lets just jump right in-

Gaitlinburg, TN // Thomas and I took a road trip to Tennessee to celebrate our second wedding anniversary! I'll post an in depth recap all about this trip soon.

Kings of Leon Concert // Along with four of our friends we attended another show on Kings of Leon's Mechanical Bull tour the first weekend in August. We saw them at DTE, an outdoor venue, this time and it was a million times better than when we saw them in Chicago! It's hard for me to believe how much KOL has grown on me since I met Thomas eight years ago.

Moving West // Thomas, Duke, and I packed up our belongings and moved west to Grand Rapids, MI. While we're still adjusting and settling in we're loving it! The west side of Michigan is completely different than the East side and we can't wait to get out and explore it some more :)

Mullet Lake// We were fortunate enough to spend a couple days up north with our cousins at their families' resort. The weather was perfect, we got to spend an entire day on the water, and even made a quick trip to Mackinaw City. Who knew jumping off a moving boat would be so much fun? ;)

Ford's Visit // Thomas' Army buddy who lives in Arizona came to visit us for a week and we had such a great time showing him our state! We drove up the coast of Lake Michigan to Sleeping Bear Dunes, had a lot of memorable nights out on the town in Grand Rapids, proved to him how unpredictable MI weather can be, and more. We can't wait to visit him in Arizona next!

And there you have it- a quick recap of what we've been up to while I was away. It was an amazing summer, wouldn't you agree?

    1. I love it too! It's just rental and we probably will only be here a year or two, but almost all of the houses in this area of town have porches like this! So if we purchase a house with a porch like this one a swing will definitely be on my list!
