Weekend Recap | 4th of July

It's been quite a week.. with the holiday on Monday, an interview over 2 hours away on Tuesday, our anniversary yesterday, and hours spent packing today. Hence, this post being a few days "overdue." So let's get right to it..

Our holiday weekend started a little early on Thursday evening with dinner at another brewery on the Ale Trail, Perrin Brewing Company, and a Whitecaps baseball game! The Whitecaps are a farm team for the Detroit Tigers and while they aren't very good the games are always fun :)

We spent the day Friday cleaning and prepping for our party on Saturday. We deep cleaned the house and garage, returned over 600 bottles (yikes!), did all the shopping, and I set up the decor.
Saturday was party day! We had roughly 20 friends that hung out, drank, ate, and then enjoyed the Amway Downtown Grand Rapids fireworks with us. We purchased local craft beers and had quite the spread of food! Duke's accessories were a highlight of the day ;)
Sunday morning was very slow moving, but once everyone was up we headed to San Chez for a delicious brunch. From there everyone headed their separate ways; we spent the afternoon cleaning and recuperating. That evening we headed over to our friends house for more grilling, drinking, and yard games!
We slept in really late Monday morning, but eventually made our way up to Rockford to tube the Rogue River. We have never had a good experience tubing and I think we're throwing in the towel. The weather was crappy and the river path was awful, with downed trees, metal poles, etc. Not to mention Sam's tube popped halfway through the trip.

It was another great weekend spent with friends!
