Michigan Winter Wonderland

Typically we're hermits January through February. Neither of us are big fans of winter activities or the cold so we tend to stay inside, but we've decided to change that this year! We're making it a point to get out more and saying "yes" when friends invite us out. I'm also making it a point to take more pictures.
This weekend we headed to Muskegon Luge & Winter Sports Complex at the Muskegon State Park for a winter festival. The festival had winter activities, local breweries, a DJ, live bands, and the best hot chocolate I've ever had.

While we didn't ice skate or cross country ski some of us did test out the luge track while others made snow angels. Apparently this track is one of only four in the country!

By the end of the day my toes were so frozen that I couldn't even move them, but it was still a great time. We plan on visiting again to skate the trails and who knows maybe luge someday.

Now I've been bitten by the adventure bug and am anxiously awaiting our next one!

  1. Love your new layout and your attitude for saying 'yes' to adventures!
