One of the times I was down visiting Thomas at Ft. Polk we decided to take a day trip to the beach and to cross one more state off of our "map." So we drove 1.5 hours north to Toledo Bend Reservoir, a reservoir on the boarder of Louisiana and Texas. We brought books, snacks, and just hung out for a few hours in the sand. It was amazing seeing blue water in the South and it reminded us of home :)
