We started May off with our trip to Washington DC, which I promise I'll recap some day soon. We were there for 4 nights/5 days, walked almost FIFTY miles, toured The White House, and got to visit with one of Thomas' Army buddies.
We took a day trip to Holland, MI for the annual Tulip Festival! Prior to this trip I never knew there were so many variations of tulips. We also stopped at New Holland Brewing Company and loved it.
We had a great date night when we went to the Grand Rapid's Griffins playoff hockey game. There's few things I love more than sporting events with my man!
We started off wedding season at Thomas' cousin's reception and had a blast dancing the night away (and pretending to be firefighters)!
We ended the month with a whirlwind Memorial Day Weekend, which included another wedding and a visit from out of town family members!
A few other things that happened this past month: Thomas started his final internship at a local gym, I spent a lot of time applying for jobs, we visited with our families, and we started a Paleo-like diet.
I'm excited to see what June has in store for us :)
i had no idea there was even more than one type of tulip, how interesting :) and fifty miles! that's a lot of miles!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I didn't either, but apparently there are a ton! Google said there are over 3,000 registered varieties!
DeleteSo much fun stuff going on in May! Looks like you were really busy and active :) Thanks for linking up with us and Happy June!
ReplyDeleteIt was a blast and I think that's how the whole summer is going to be :) Thanks for hosting it!
DeleteSo many exciting things!!!! 50 miles is A LOT to walk!!! Y'all are rockstars for covering that much ground lol. A tulip festival sounds like so much fun! I love tulips, they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe love us some hockey and going to the games are even better!! Glad y'all had a fun month! :)
It was SO much walking! I'd say maybe even too much, because come dinner time we were WIPED out and would just crash instead of getting to experience the nightlife.
